There is very little that can't be achieved after a full plate of food, a belly full of laughter and Friday afternoon spent away from the office.
On Friday the 3rd of March, the team at The Merchant Bar & Kitchen, hosted our inaugural 'Big Buddies & Long Lunches' - a charity luncheon in support of local good guys, Big Buddy.
After an awesome day over a five course degustation lunch, 200 punters from local businesses opened their wallets. As a result, we are stoked to announce that we managed to raise a whopping $20,000 for the cause.
Big Buddy are a charity close to our hearts. Their mission really resonates with Lance - 'My brother in law died at a fairly young age from a brain tumour, leaving my sister to raise their eight children...Through extended whanau, they had positive male role models to fill the gap, however I can see that if Mums don't have that support, then there's a clear need for it.'
